Many of our internship students choose Weston Robot as their first job after graduation. CNA wrote a very good article about the local robotics ecosystem in Singapore. I often (if not always) recommend my students (including internships) to join startups as their first jobs, especially these startups who haven't raised funds, so that students can:
(1): To work with the startups' founders to earn every cents, to appreciate the amount of effort you need to put to earn 1 dollar from customers, and to receive criticism from customers, not matter it is your fault or not. The customers doesn't care whether you are a professor or not, only SLA resolution time matters.
(2): To quick close the entire develop-and-deployment loop, from customers' requirements, to the first quick-and-dirty prototype, and to iterate and iterate, to provide after-sales supports. Sometimes you need to sleep inside the factory to push the "老师傅" to expedite the manufacturing for you.

05-06Weston Robot supported HRM Asia at HR Tech Asia 2026, showcasing our Humanoid G1, wearable exoskeleton, and Firefighting B2 quadruped to HR leaders and worktech innovators from across the region. The platforms speak to the festival's themes of well-being, agility, and AI in the workplace, reaffirming Weston Robot's view that robotics belongs in any serious conversation about the future of work.
05-05Supporting NCSS at NCSS Day 2026
Weston Robot supported NCSS at NCSS Day 2026, where Dr Zhang Yanliang joined the panel "The Future, Enable-AI, Technology and Innovation" and led a talk and demonstration featuring our Humanoid G1 and wearable exoskeleton. The exoskeleton points to how robotics can ease the physical demands on caregivers, while the Humanoid G1 engaged attendees throughout the day — in service of NCSS's "We First" vision.
04-28Weston Robot and Fortinet Demonstrate Cybersecurity on Humanoid and Quadruped Robots
As robots take on critical roles across industries, cybersecurity has become a non-negotiable foundation for safe and reliable deployment. Weston Robot, working with Fortinet, is demonstrating how enterprise-grade cybersecurity solutions can protect humanoid robots and quadruped robot dogs in real-world operations. The demonstration covers secure communication, data integrity, and safeguarded remote operations — particularly for frontline workers in sensitive environments. Visitors to MTX 2026 are invited to experience this live at the Fortinet booth, where they can interact with and attempt to breach the secured systems firsthand. Weston Robot is committed to deploying robots that are not only capable, but cyber-resilient.
