Weston Robot is honoured to have taken part in the recent Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) event, "Smarter, Safer Workplaces: The Role of Robotics & Technology in WSH," where Dr Zhang Yanliang, Weston Robot's Chief Scientist, joined the discussion as a speaker. Workplace safety has always been close to how we think about robotics. We believe one of the most important things a robot can do is take on the dangerous, repetitive, or physically demanding work that should not fall to people — and in doing so, raise the floor of safety and well-being for the workforce as a whole.

Dr Zhang shared Weston Robot's perspective on the role robotics and adjacent technologies are playing in modern WSH practice — from autonomous platforms that move into hazardous environments, to wearable systems that ease the physical load on frontline workers. Alongside the talk, we ran live demonstrations of our GO2 quadruped, Humanoid G1, and wearable exoskeleton, with a particular focus on how the exoskeleton supports workers through the lifting, bending, and repetitive movements that fill a normal working day. Seeing the platforms in action helped ground the conversation in something concrete: robotics and technology as everyday allies of the people doing the work.

We thank the organisers for putting together such a substantive gathering, and we are grateful for the chance to learn from the safety professionals, employers, and policymakers who shape this work every day. Singapore has been a global reference point for workplace safety for decades, and as robotics and AI become an everyday part of how work gets done, we remain committed to playing our part — building robotic systems that help make every workplace just a little safer, smarter, and more human.

06-04Weston Robot participated in a robotics and AI industry event at Republic Polytechnic, bringing together technology leaders, researchers, and innovators to explore the future of intelligent automation. During the event, our G1 Humanoid Robot captivated attendees with live demonstrations and interactive engagement. The showcase provided valuable opportunities to connect with industry partners and demonstrate real-world robotics applications.- 05-29
