Since June 2021, Weston Robot has become the official partner of Ouster, a high-tech public company in Silicon Valley. With this partnership, Weston Robot will be able to provide more cost-effective 3D-lidar based navigation stacks to different robotics solutions. Ouster transformed lidar from an analog device with thousands of components to an elegant digital device powered by one chip-scale laser array and one CMOS sensor. Ouster 3D lidars are small in scale and provide large FOV, e.g., their OS0 series provide 90° vertical FOV, while the OS1 provides 45° FOV, comparing others often working at 30° FOV.
Robotics researches now can obtain the total 3D-lidar navigation solutions from Weston Robot. The navigation stack works wheeled-based robots, tracked robots, quadruped robots and unmanned vehicle vessels.
- 06-053D lidar is one of the key enabling technologies that helps robots see and understand our world. Ouster's 3D lidars have been widely adopted in autonomous driving and robotics research and deployment. Weston Robot now officially partners with Ouster to promote the lidar-based navigation for outdoor robotics applications.

Table Cleaning Robot Tried at Hawker Centers
The system equips with one lidar-based autonomous navigation AMR base, a 6-DOF collaborative robot arm with a customized-designed holders for two cloth, AI/vision system. The entire motion planning and computer vision runs on NVIDIA Jetson XAVIER. The robot autonomously travels to each corner of the table, detects whether there are some valuable items on the table before making the cleaning procedures.
