Jurongville Secondary School students recently visited Weston Robot for an immersive and educational experience in the world of robotics. The event kicked off with a comprehensive introduction by Weston Robot engineers, who delved into the fundamental concepts of building a robot. They explained the step-by-step process, starting from the initial design phase to the final assembly, highlighting the importance of each component and its function. The students were fascinated by the intricate details involved in creating a functional robot, from programming the software to assembling the hardware. This session provided them with a solid foundation and a deeper appreciation of the complexities and intricacies of robotics engineering.

Following the introductory session, the students were introduced to a wide range of robotics applications. The engineers discussed various fields where robotics technology is making significant impacts, such as healthcare, manufacturing, and disaster response. The robotic dogs performed various tasks, demonstrating their agility and potential uses in security and assistance roles. The exoskeletons, designed to enhance human strength and mobility, captivated the students' attention, illustrating the transformative impact of robotics on human capabilities.
