On July 25, 2024, Weston Robot welcomed a group of 40+ students from Anderson Secondary School robotics club to its office. The students spent nearly three hours learning about how to build a robot, and the different robotics applications in various industries, such as facility management, oil and gas, and partial discharge. They also had a chance to try exoskeletons for shoulder and back protection, and expressed their interest in learning more robotics technology from Weston Robot.

The first part of the visit was a workshop on how to build a robot, led by Weston Robot's robotics teachers and engineers. The students learned about the basic components of a robot, such as sensors, actuators, controllers, and batteries. They also learned about the different types of robots, such as wheeled, legged, flying, and swimming robots. The students were divided into small groups and given a kit to assemble a simple robot that could move and avoid obstacles. The students enjoyed the hands-on experience and asked many questions about the design and programming of robots.

The second part of the visit was a presentation on the different robotics applications that Weston Robot offers to its clients. The students learned about how robots can be used for facility management, such as cleaning, security, and inspection. They also learned about how robots can be used for oil and gas, such as pipeline monitoring, leak detection, and maintenance. They also learned about how robots can be used for partial discharge, which is a phenomenon that occurs in high-voltage electrical equipment and can cause damage and fire. The students saw demonstrations of some of the robots that Weston Robot has developed, such as the RoboCleaner, the RoboGuard, the RoboPipe, and the RoboPD. The students were impressed by the capabilities and functions of the robots, and asked many questions about the challenges and opportunities of robotics in different industries.

The third part of the visit was a trial of exoskeletons, which are wearable devices that enhance the strength and endurance of the human body. Weston Robot has developed exoskeletons for shoulder and back protection, which can help workers to lift heavy objects and prevent injuries. The students had a chance to wear the exoskeletons and feel the difference in their movements and posture. The students were amazed by the technology and the benefits of exoskeletons, and expressed their interest in learning more about how exoskeletons work and how they can be improved.

06-14Weston Robot hosted MBA students and professors from Jilin University on a learning journey at our office, sharing insights into the robotics industry — market trends, deployment challenges, and how robotic systems are reshaping security, inspection, logistics, education, and public safety. Participants also got a close look at several Unitree Robotics products and how they're moving from labs into real commercial use.
04-20Welcoming Escola Sun Wah on a Learning Journey
Weston Robot welcomed students from Escola Sun Wah on a learning journey, introducing them to our Humanoid G1 platform and the Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models that power it. The visit gave students a close look at how perception, language, and action come together in a humanoid system, and reaffirmed our commitment to inspiring the next generation of roboticists across the region.
03-04Fudan University School of Management Students Visit Weston Robot for Industry Learning Experience
Weston Robot hosted 88 MBA students from Fudan University’s School of Management for a learning journey in Singapore. Students gained insights into the robotics industry, technology development, and commercialization. The visit included discussions with engineers, offering valuable exposure to robotics innovation and the growing role of technology in global industries.
