Weston Robot Chief Scientist Dr. Zhang was honoured to be invited by the National Robotics Programme (NRP) to speak at the 2026 Singapore Robotics Supply Chain Workshop. The session examined how China’s advanced robotics supply chain infrastructure can support and accelerate the development of Singapore’s robotics ecosystem. The workshop gathered researchers, startup founders, manufacturers, investors, and ecosystem stakeholders to explore practical pathways from laboratory innovation to large-scale deployment.

During his presentation, Dr. Zhang shared Weston Robot’s direct experience in navigating China’s mature robotics supply chain — covering precision mechanical components, actuators, sensors, controllers, and contract manufacturing. He explained how Singapore-based robotics companies can strategically leverage China’s manufacturing depth, rapid prototyping capabilities, and cost-efficient scaling to reduce development cycles and enhance international competitiveness. The discussion emphasised combining Singapore’s strengths in embodied AI, robotics algorithms, and system integration with regional supply chain advantages.
The session generated meaningful dialogue on cross-border collaboration, quality assurance, supply chain resilience, and long-term ecosystem development. As a Singapore-headquartered robotics company deeply involved in both research and industrial deployment, Weston Robot remains committed to bridging advanced robotics innovation with reliable and scalable manufacturing pathways. We look forward to continued collaboration with NRP and ecosystem partners to strengthen Singapore’s role as a global hub for robotics innovation and commercialisation.
04-28As robots take on critical roles across industries, cybersecurity has become a non-negotiable foundation for safe and reliable deployment. Weston Robot, working with Fortinet, is demonstrating how enterprise-grade cybersecurity solutions can protect humanoid robots and quadruped robot dogs in real-world operations. The demonstration covers secure communication, data integrity, and safeguarded remote operations — particularly for frontline workers in sensitive environments. Visitors to MTX 2026 are invited to experience this live at the Fortinet booth, where they can interact with and attempt to breach the secured systems firsthand. Weston Robot is committed to deploying robots that are not only capable, but cyber-resilient.
04-23Supporting Tower Transit in Advancing Worker Empowerment
Weston Robot supports Tower Transit Group in advancing worker empowerment through innovative robotics solutions. By reducing repetitive tasks and enhancing operational efficiency, our technologies enable employees to focus on higher-value roles. This collaboration aligns with multi-stage career development initiatives, demonstrating how robotics can augment human potential while fostering a more resilient, future-ready workforce in Singapore.
04-16Weston Robot Bridges Singapore and China's Robotics Ecosystems
Weston Robot facilitated a high-level visit by Singapore's Ministry of Manpower delegation, led by Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Finance and Manpower Mr. Shawn Huang Wei Zhong, to AgileX Robotics' headquarters in Dongguan, China. The visit brought together government leaders and industry stakeholders to explore three key areas of collaboration: co-building data collection factories, establishing joint robotics and AI laboratories, and nurturing future engineering talent. By bridging Singapore's innovation ambitions with China's advanced manufacturing capabilities, Weston Robot reinforced its role as a strategic connector between the two ecosystems, accelerating Singapore's journey toward becoming a global AI and robotics hub.
