Weston Robot was honoured to host MBA students and professors from Jilin University on a recent learning journey at our office. Jilin University is one of China's most established research universities, and hosting their business community brought a different and welcome flavour to the conversation — one anchored less in pure engineering and more in the strategic, commercial questions shaping how robotics enters the real economy. We believe that building awareness and understanding of robotics among the people who will lead tomorrow's organisations is an important step toward a world where automation, AI, and robotics play an increasingly central role.

Over the course of the visit, we walked the group through the state of the robotics industry today — current market trends, the real-world challenges of deployment at scale, and how robotic systems are increasingly being woven into industries such as security, inspection, logistics, education, and public safety. We also introduced several Unitree Robotics products, giving participants a close look at how advanced robots are moving from research labs into practical commercial use cases. The goal was to ground the strategic discussion in something tangible: real platforms, real customers, and the real considerations that shape adoption.

We thank the MBA students and professors from Jilin University for the thoughtful questions, the lively discussions, and the genuine enthusiasm they brought into the room. Exchanges like these — between academia and industry, between business and engineering — are exactly what the robotics community needs as the technology becomes a larger part of every economy. We look forward to more such opportunities to connect, share, and inspire the next generation of business leaders to engage with the robotics industry shaping their future.
